Basketmaking Courses

I am no longer advertising and running my own courses. However, I am prepared to consider running two types of courses for groups who wish to invite me to come and teach them:-

1. Two day courses in basketmaking for advanced students (this means people who have made several round and oval baskets, and who wish to develop their skills by making other shapes such as rectangular, blunt-cornered, D-shaped etc; or to learn how to do lids, fastenings etc). The group needs to be a minimum of 5 and maximum of 7.

2. One day plant support making courses. No previous experience is necessary, and the group needs to be a minimum of 6 and maximum of 10.

To discuss a possible course and details of costs etc, please contact me.

Many other members of the Basketmakers' Association run courses all over the UK. For details of these you can either visit the Basketmakers' Association website courses page or contact:

Ann Brooks, Pond Cottage, North Road, Chesham Bois, Bucks HP6 5NA. Tel: 01494-726189 E-mail

In the West of England area you can contact Norah Kennedy or Sheila Wynter (4 Trinity Road, Stroud, Glos GL5 2HX), both of whom are excellent teachers and run a lot of courses.
